What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are young seedlings of edible vegetables and herbs. Unlike their mature vegetable counterpart that take weeks or months to grow, microgreens can be harvested and eaten a week to 14 days after the Cotyledon or the True leaf appears.

They are a highly concentrated source of nutrients, making them a healthy, beneficial and tasty addition to any diet and dish. A study at the University of Maryland College of Agriculture even found they have more health benefits and can have up to 40 times more beneficial nutrients than their mature counterpart.

They are a rich source of antioxidants, which help protect your cells against free radicals, oxidative stress and inflammation. This can help boost immune function and reduce the risk of infections and diseases.
